by an act for the relief of the officers and soldiers of the Contnentalline, in consideration of the bravery and zeal of John Ingles, esq., a captain in the said line, granted unto John Ingles a tract of land containing 3840 acres in
Davidson county on the waters of Bledsoes creek adjoining Robert Deshies south west corner, to Oratio Rolls' corner to Robert Montgomery's line and to David Wilson's corner and to Roger Topps' heirs, including a preemption of 640 acres obtained by Richard Hogan so that the bounds now contain 4480 acres. surveyed for John Ingles May 20, 1785 by James Sanders, D.S. by virtue of a military warrant no. 294. located Apr 4, 1785.
