'SRAIGHT STREET' is a Christian music ministry devoted to glorifying our Lord through music and testimony. It is a Ministry of Music in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, designed to bring people together in faith and to spread His news. We are reaching out to churches of all denominations to become closer to the Spirit of our Lord...and to allow the universal language of music to erase our differences and bring all Christians together as one through the love of our Lord and Savior.

Our names are Carl and Debi Newell. We are members of Baptist Temple Church in Big Spring. Click HERE to visit their web site.We currently have a music ministry, and call ourselves 'Straight Street'. We play a wide variety of Christian music, the classic hymns and contemporary, as well as praise and worship. Our style of worship appeals to a wide range of musical tastes. Our services can be tailored to fit a particular congregational preference. We are available for special music, concerts or revival services. Our desire is to serve the Lord our God through our music, to glorify His name in song , and in so doing, spread the good news of our Savior. It is not only our music that we have to share, but also what we would consider a powerful testimony to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Just a few short years ago , Carl was addicted to cocaine, was a chronic abuser of alcohol and marijuana, and just about every drug he encountered. Since being saved, he now strives to live his life in God's will. Debi too, has an equally powerful and touching testimony. We have a demo tape available that we will be glad to provide for you upon request , that will give you an idea as to the variety of music that we play as well as our personal style.
