The BSARC has its 2-meter net on Thursdays at 8:00pm CST (2000 or 0200 Zulu). We would like to invite all those who are licensed and within the range of this repeater to join us and to tell us about yourself.
We participate in the Multiple Sclerosis Walk-a-thon (March 27th, 1999) and the Multiple Sclerosis 150 mile Bike-a-thon (July 17th & 18th, 1999) as well as helping in the Comanche Warrior Triathlon and 10K which in the past has been held at the end of July. Also, we have assisted in the Big Spring Herald Christmas Day Parade which is held on the first Saturday in December.
We have a strong involvement with the Skywarn program for our local area and have a dependable group of involved radio amateurs ready to answer the call! We have had our Skywarn training session for 1999 and have good relations with the Big Spring Police Dept as well as the Howard County Sheriffs Dept.
If you have any questions about Big Spring Amateur Radio Club or about Amateur Radio in general, please send us a note and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
For the Skywarn Training Session Schedule for the West Texas area go to the SkywarnPage.
